I've gotta G-O!!

Eli's been "crolling" for a while now. For those of you who aren't privy to crolling, it is simply pivoting in a sitting position so that your body is aimed correctly, then falling over (gracefully, of course) and rolling to get to your destination. Eli is a pro and more than capable of getting anywhere and everywhere by crolling.

However, he's recently taken interest in other ways of travel. He's now mastered cruising. Given the freedom, he'll pull up on any unmoving object, then navigate it to get to any object that came with the label "keep out of the reach of children!" Here he is working his way around the end of the couch.

Another mode of transportation he's recently taken up is the walk-behind toy. On Saturday, he made the discovery that this thing that was once just a toy with spinny things, is now a tool to help him get from point A to point "keep out of the reach of children" with speed! Check out the video we captured!

And without further ado...

...CRAWLING!!! Real, true crawling!! And, just in time for the Christmas tree. I think it's time for a rewrite of the old tried and true carol "Oh, Christmas Tree!" Sing it with me...No Christmas tree, No Christmas tree; Eli stay out of the branches!

What a joy Eli is! He is so precious. Christian told me the other day, "Mommy I want you to kiss Daddy a lot so that we can have another baby." I was confused by the kiss a lot. I asked why he wanted us to have another baby. He said he wanted a little brother like Eli. I explained that he could enjoy Eli at MeMa and PaPa's house. He said he wanted a baby to bring home. After talking to Tom I found out about the kissing deal. Christian had a conversation with Tom about wanting a baby brother. Tom's way of explaining about babies was, "Well, Mommies and Daddies have to kiss a lot to have babies. We just kiss a little." Can you believe that? I set the record straight and told Christian that Daddy had surgery so we can't have anymore babies. Luckily, he didn't ask what kind of surgery. I guess he probably thinks the dentist took care of it.

He is now on the move!!! Watch out all things bright and shiny! I love to watch his expression as he gets closer to his target. His face lights up as to say, "Oh boy I'm almost there...it's almost mine". When to his surprise someone comes along and takes away or moves that very object "out of reach"! Keep moving Eli and one day you will beat your mommy or daddy to that special object!
Love to all,
Mema
