Dear Swaddler,
Thank you for the many nights you held me tight! I have slept so much better because of you. Your green fleece and cute circles and dots have kept me looking super hip even while I'm snoozing. You've been the best sleeping buddy, but my mom says that I'm getting older and that it's time for me to learn to sleep without you. Mama says that I can keep you for a little while longer, but I have to try to sleep with my arms out. I'm not sure I like that idea, but she hasn't led me astray yet! So, dear swaddler I guess this is the beginning of the end for us. It's been great! Thanks for the sweet dreams!
Love,
Eli
P.S. Hey, blog readers...Mama would really appreciate your prayers as we embark on this un-swaddled adventure. We're not sure how I'll respond to sleeping without my beloved swaddler. Thanks!!

Kinda like saying good-bye to a binky! That's what your mama had to do, Eli! She sent her binky (pacifier) to Santa Clause and she survived. We all have things we have to give up after a season (a time we are granted to bring about a kind of peace within). Eli you will manage just fine and so will your mom and dad!
Love ya lots,
Mema
P.S. Papa said you can't read so get mommy to read this to you!
One suggestion is to use a regular baby blanket and wrap him like a roll of toilet paper (just under his arms, and roll till there's no blanket left). Ethan loved that and slept that way for about 1.5 years after I quit swaddling him.
Love it.
So sweet!! At church tonight, Anna Gracen prayed that Eli would sleep well. We pray that you do also.
Love you guys,
Amanda
This is the ONLY way we get Callum to sleep. I don't know what we are going to do in a month or two. I am trying to get him on a routine and to also fall asleep on his own. It is a nightmare! Hope all is well!
