Yesterday, we checked Jacob out of school early to meet his baby brother. He was so excited and was able to spend some time holding him. He's going to be the best big brother ever! We are so proud of who Jacob is and we know that God has big plans for him.
We are now in our postpartum room. Eli and I are learning to work together to nurse. Matt is catching up on some sleep. We are all basking in the glow of this new little gift from God. Although our delivery was not what we expected, it was perfect! I am grateful for the epidural I received. 22 hours is a LONG time to labor with no meds. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and well wishes. We can't wait to introduce him to all of you!

Eli is so handsome! You did great, Jennifer and Matt. Several people have told me to tell you congratulations - Mimi,Mammy,Anya,my Mama, Tiffany,Jennifer Jones,friends of ours from church - Laura,Carla,Glenda,Heather,Amy (we've been sharing the good news with everybody!)

All is well with the world and you just need to always remember that God is in control (of everything)and that He has only our best interest on His mind. He is forever loving us and giving us the most precious gifts!!! He will always give us the desires of our heart if we love Him and trust Him. This most precious baby is only a small blessing that He has on His mind for your family. He will (has) filled your house with love, respect, joy, peace and the spirit of patience. He has spread a table before you and He is saying come and feast with Me and we can become one. Just as I am one with My Father. He is leading you down the straight path! He is replacing your worry as He protects and cares for your family!
His love for you will never end!!!
Eli is so cute! We are very happy for you. Got up early this morning to see if you had posted any pictures yet. Darby and I were excited when we got to see them before we left for school. Thanks for sharing.
